FAQ
Q: What audio sources can you use for transcription?
A: We can transcribe audio for several sources, including:
- Any commonly used digital format (WAV, MP3, DCR, DCT, SRI, DSS, MSV, PCM, and many more)
- VHS cassettes
- Standard audio cassettes and microcasette
- CDs and DVDs
Please note that some formats may require additional fees for media conversion and increase project turn around time. Contact us for details.
Q: What are your typical turn around times for transcription?
A: Turn around times vary depending on the quality and length of the transcription, but projects can be expedited for an additional fee. Medical transcription turn around time is typically 12 hours and STAT transcription is available.
Q: In what type of file format will I receive my completed transcription?
A: We typically produce documents in Microsoft Word format, but can provide Portable Document Format (PDF) and other filetypes as well.
Q: How does the secure document uploading service work?
A: A member of our staff will come to your location and install a program that allows you to connect to our secure servers. Uploading audio files is as simple as dragging a file into the program. Once the upload is complete we'll start on the transcription. When the transcription is completed downloading is as simple as dragging the file to your computer. Once the file is on your computer you can copy, print, or email the document as you like. Please note that uploading larger files can take a while depending on your internet connection speed. Our software will show a progress indicator to let you know if a file is still uploading.
