I read a lot. I mean I spend a great deal of my time reading. I include in this time spent reading on the internet, which is mostly reading for information. There are times when this is fun. However, that is not the true definition of reading for fun for me personally. There are several authors that I read on a regular basis. These all qualify as “fun” reading for me.

All of us with children know how important it is to read to them. Reading to children fosters a love of books that will stand them in good stead when they begin to attend school and throughout their lives. Although many children may not care for reading, there are many ways to encourage this skill without causing them to balk. I believe that it doesn’t really matter what they read as long as the material holds their interest. Magazines, newspapers, comic books; they are all fine to read for enjoyment. Everyone has different tastes.
